For those of you sitting at a computer all day.....
One of my regular reflexology clients told me she sets her phone alarm every half an hour at work to remind her to get up from her desk. She gets a glass of water, cup of tea, visits the bathroom or just stretches out.
Another client has both seated and standing desks at work and will move between the two throughout the day.
I see many clients with work related aches and pains due to bad posture or staring at a computer screen all day. Back and neck pain being the most common.
It is important to make sure your back is straight when seated and the lower part is supported by your chair. Your computer screen should be at eye level to prevent any slouching. Feet should be flat on the floor with legs and arms comfortably resting at 90 degrees.
Remember to take breaks and stretch to reduce pressure on spinal disks and boost circulation.
Try breathing from your belly which engages the core muscles and supports the upper body.
